Crimson Diner + Whiskey Bar

For Native Washingtonians and restaurateurs, Ian and Eric Hilton, Crimson is all about Southern comfort and DC-style. Located in the District’s first POD Hotel, the brothers envisioned it as a place where out-of-towners and locals alike could settle in and feel at home. Richmond, VA’s own Blanchard’s Coffee Company heads up Crimson Coffee, brewing locally-roasted beans and serving homemade pastries to get the work day started.

Located on the main floor, Crimson Diner is a warm, inviting space where people are welcome to congregate, socialize, work, or wind down. Crimson Whiskey Bar, one level below, is a traditional public house, showcasing and celebrating whiskey’s rich history in the American south. Located at the rooftop of Pod Hotel DC, Crimson View is where guests come to unwind and bask in the brilliance of a sunset. A bit more rural and simple by design, this space is animated by large bi-folding steel and glass doors. The doors transform the Crimson View into a large indoor/outdoor porch with hanging gardens that suspend from beaded ceilings.
